Sun over the Placid World

The Sun over the Placid World is a site-specific work at Ikh Gazriin Chuluu-Dundgobi, the birth place of a sacred Mongolian folk long song of the same title, The song’s musical contour is given form by a rock landscape in-situ, which is perfectly to the sun path. As sunlight glides across the landform from dawn to dusk, the song is visually manifested. A time-lapse video is made to relay this illuminating tune, played by the sun remotely in pristine nature, to audiences around the world.
